BLOGGING THOUGHTS WE'VE ALL HAD (AT ONE TIME)

10 May 2016

I feel like I've fallen a little out of love with blogging lately. Could post the ranty piece I have in my drafts, but the weather is crappy, so don't exactly want to match the skies outside, having a post that also feels grey...so let's have a bit of a more light-hearted, and sarcastic post. No hating on anyone that happens to fall into any of these boxes or cliches (I know I have fallen into a couple myself...)
I will not give into the love for marble. Why does everyone rave about it? Seriously? Okay...I suppose I can pick up one of those sticky rolls of it, right? Will only cost like a fiver - not exactly breaking the bank.
Rose gold. Rose gold? It just looks like a pretty copper to me. JUST SAY COPPER DAMN IT.
If I go to London I definitely need to take an OOTD or just a shot with me by some cute blossom trees or a colourful door or wall. Because obviously I wasn't there, if there's no photographic proof.
Same goes for that cute place I went to eat. Forget actually EATING the food, just take all the pictures because it looks pretty...even if it doesn't taste it.
Honestly look, and feel like a sweaty boot after a long day on a walk in pictures, when these ladies just look blimmin beaut in a Snapchat.
Am I the only blogger who isn't in some kind of WhatsApp group chat? LET ME BE PART OF YOUR GANG. I WANNA HAVE A GROUP OF LADIES THAT I CAN FEEL ARE THE SISTERS I NEVER HAD THAT I CAN CHAT ABOUT IN POSTS. Literally feel like a loner in the blogging world. What fun!
And am I also the only one who doesn't own Zoella or Tanya Burr's ranges of whatever it is they are selling?
I don't even know what I'd use this random item, or glitter/sequins/said pretty shiny item, apart from a prop in a picture. Must definitely buy it, right?
How the effin hell do you do a flatlay that looks that good? HOW DO YOU GET THE LIGHTING THAT...BRIGHT, THAT LIGHT? HOW? HOW PEOPLE, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS (but also with as little effort and work as possible because I suck at trying to be real 'creative').
That dish looks delicious as hell, with ingredients that I would most definitely love. But the time to prepare it? I could basically watch two or three episodes of Grace & Frankie in that time...
Fashion posts...how do these people have that many outfits? My wardrobe is literally the same item, just bought multiple times because having a variety of items in different styles that go with everything isn't possible for me. Too much thinking.
Surely they spend the rest of the day in their PJs or just chilling right? Come on...I'm not the only one who does, am I? I mean, doing actual stuff is tiring.
Do you think I could #bloggerrequest a brain? Because the ideas ain't a-flowin', that's for sure.
Please tell me I am not the only one who doesn't feel like they fit in anywhere with all this body positivity stuff? Love your bodies no matter what, it's great. But I feel like I'm right in the middle of it all. I'm like a combination of a Hobbit and the Michelin Man. It ain't fun guys. WHERE IS THE CHIT CHAT FOR US LASSES THAT DON'T REALLY FIT IN ANY OF THE CAMPS OF SELF-LOVE/BODY CONFIDENCE?
I wasn't invited or even had any knowledge of this event, so obviously I suck as a blogger. I should just shut the computer down and run to the nearest field and just live there. Not even IN a house or camper van, just sit in the field and do nothing.
Mate, as pretty as that outfit is, I'm not forking out a quarter of my wages on ONE item. Especially if I wear it a couple of times and then it starts to gather dust.
Seriously though, how can people get such pretty pictures of their food when out and about? As much as I wanna do a full-on photoshoot with it because it looks better than me, I definitely want to eat it as soon as I see it coming my way.
Obviously I don't mean any offense with this, but they are definitely things that run through my mind ever so often and I'm sure I am not the only one...right? Otherwise I will most definitely feel a bit of a tit.

What thoughts do you have, that you know other bloggers are also thinking?

  7. Hahahaha I feel ya sister! It's all fun and games though, I quite like not being a bit of an outsider and not doing the whole marble thing and only posting monochrome to my instagram cos I'm too cool for colour.

  11. YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HIT, MEG. This is horrifically accurate. I sometimes question myself as a human being. Why would we actually spend time creating photographic evidence...for the sake of photographic evidence? Gah. I'm a bit out of blogging at the mo', too, so I feel ya girl.

  13. I FEEEL YOU. ALL OF YOU. I think I'm like the only blogger where I'm from that doesn't really hang with the other bloggers. Like they have a WA group and I'm like on Telegram hahahahaha! BY THE WAY. I totally agree with the body confidence! All the girls, are skinny fit and pretty or curvy but still very attractive...How about girls of all sizes?
