07 March 2016 Brighton

Today I popped along to the outskirts of Brighton to grab a bite to eat (where I proceeded to eat way too much...) so afterwards, took a walk along Brighton Pier - you know, to obviously walk off some of the food I'd enjoyed a bit too much. Honestly though, stick roast potatoes in front of me and I'm gone.

Luckily managed to turn up just as the golden hour was doing it's thing, which I absolutely adore. All that has been done with these pictures is a quick run through VSCO Cam with a filter chucked editing with the saturation and all that jazz because I love the...well, golden tones to the shots. It adds to them and just makes me think 'ahhhh, I loves the coast, me'. (A+ marks for my English there).

And one final thing - the penultimate image, of the wheel? Pretty sure that's become one of my favourite pictures I've taken in recent years. Wasn't too sure of the angle as the sun was blinding me and I couldn't see how the shots were coming out on my phone. But damnnn, that's a good shot if I say so myself! You know when you just love how an image looks but can't quite explain why? That's one of them, for me. Now...I'll shut up, and let the pictures do the talking.

  10. Wow, the light is just perfect in these shots. I assume you shot these on a phone because you mention running through VSCO...I would not have known the difference! Also, Brighton Pier is so much cleaner than the Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, NY which may or may not be named after this one? Your Brighton looks dreamier.

  11. Great photos! Lovely post!

  19. I really enjoyed looking through your photo diary, you have captured Brighton beautifully. Your photographs are outstanding, I love the light and moodiness of the golden hour. Your make me want to go to Brighton, I’ve never been but the pier is such an iconic landmark. I agree your ferris wheel pic is spectacular but all the pictures work well as a series and each have a lovely quality to them. Have a nice weekend! :-) xx
